自分たちの庭造りに誇りを感じるとともに、これからも責任をもって一つひとつの庭と向き合っていこうと、身の引き締まる思いがしました。

日本人は古来から自然に対して畏敬の念を持ち、万物に神を感じ大切にする民族です。この精神は庭に対しても同様で、自然のままの石の姿に力を感じたり、樹木や草花を大切に育て、時には話しかけたりすることもあります。

また、侘び・寂びの精神から、朽ちかけた竹垣や苔むした石造品にも趣を感じることができます。

私たちは、まず和の心をもって庭仕事に取り組むことを心掛けています。そして、庭という仕切られた空間の中に小宇宙を作り、末永くお客様とその美しさを分かち合っていくことを目指しています。

A deep respect for nature lies at the heart of everything we do. In Japan, there has long been a belief that the divine can be found in all things in nature, and this spirit continues to shape the way we approach garden-making. We find strength in the natural form of stone, carefully nurture trees and flowers, and sometimes even speak to them with affection. This reverence for nature is one of the foundations of our work.

We also value the spirit of wabi-sabi—the quiet beauty found in age, imperfection, and the passage of time. A weathered bamboo fence or a moss-covered stone ornament can hold a unique sense of grace and depth.

At Hadazouen, we approach our work with the spirit of wa (harmony) at its core. Within the enclosed space of a garden, we strive to create a small universe—one whose beauty can be shared and cherished with our customers for years to come.
